What is Jack on Demand?

Jack on Demand is a marketplace platform that connects Service Seekers who need help with tasks and services to independent Service Providers across Mauritius.
We do not provide services ourselves — we simply connect people.

How does Jack on Demand work?
  1. Service Seekers post a job request
  2. Service Providers browse available jobs and apply
  3. Both parties communicate through the app
  4. The job is completed
  5. Payment is handled directly between users
Is Jack on Demand a service provider?

No. Jack on Demand is only a connection platform.
All work is performed independently by Service Providers.

How do I create an account?

Download the app or visit jackondemand.mu, then:

  1. Tap Sign Up
  2. Enter your basic details
  3. Verify your phone number/email
  4. Complete your profile
How do I post a job?

To post a job:

  1. Log in
  2. Tap Post a Job
  3. Add the job title and description
  4. Set the location
  5. Add your budget
  6. Publish

Service Providers will then be able to apply.

How do Service Providers apply for jobs?

Providers can:

  • View available jobs in the Browse Jobs section
  • Check job details
  • Apply or send an offer
  • Chat with the Service Seeker for more information
How do payments work?

All payments are handled outside the app, directly between the Service Seeker and Service Provider.

This can include:

  • Cash
  • Mobile transfer
  • Bank transfer
  • Any mutually agreed method

Jack on Demand does not process payments or store payment information.

Is Jack on Demand responsible for payments?

No. We do not:

  • Handle payments
  • Guarantee payments
  • Offer refunds
  • Mediate payment disputes

All payment arrangements are strictly between users.

What is identity verification?

To increase trust and safety, Jack on Demand uses DIDIT, a secure identity verification service.

Some users may be asked to:

  • Submit a government-issued ID
  • Submit a selfie for facial matching

This helps reduce fraud and ensures safer interactions.

Is my ID information safe?

Yes. Identity verification is processed securely by DIDIT.

  • Jack on Demand does not store ID document images
  • Only the verification status is saved
  • Your ID documents are not visible to other users
Why did I receive WhatsApp messages from Jack on Demand?

We use WATI, an approved WhatsApp Business provider, to send important messages such as:

  • Job alerts
  • Account updates
  • Verification reminders
  • Support information
How do reviews work?

After a job is completed, Service Seekers can leave:

  • A rating
  • A written review

This helps maintain transparency and trust in the community.

How do I report an issue with a user?

You can:

Can I delete my account?

Yes. You can request account deletion through:

Is Jack on Demand free to use?

Yes. Posting jobs, browsing, and applying are free.
There are currently no subscription or in-app payment features.

Will in-app payments be added in the future?

Yes, we plan to introduce secure in-app payments later.
We will update users before any such features go live.
